Having graduated from the Boston Museum school in the 70’s, I focused on the New York art scene, but time and motherhood redirected my energies. I took a hiatus from my art to raise a family and teach, often turning creative energies towards community involvements. I have recently returned to my own art knowing in my heart that is shall be my continued life’s work.
From small paintings to installations, from theatre work to education, the creative process feeds itself and provides inspiration in a variety of forms. From nonobjective to realism, color to light, shape to movement, the format beckons me to create while my love of people, their heart and history inspires me as well. Eluding being pegged for I am not easily defined, neither is my art. If given the time and a brush large enough I would at once be mesmerized by and simultaneously paint the world, understanding and redefining my moment in it. Such is the creative process.
